The Senior Cost Accountant for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for partnering with site-level Operations and Finance teams on a day to day basis.

This position is part of the Beckman Microbiology Finance Team located in Sacramento and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Microbiology Finance Team and report to the Finance Director responsible for Beckman Coulter's Microbiology Business Unit. If you thrive in a multifunctional and fast paced role and want to work to build a world-class manufacturing organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform operational accounting, which mainly involves cost rolls, reviewing material prices, and ensuring accurate standard costing of inventory items

  • The month-end close process to include journal entries, account reconciliation, and other inventory adjustments

  • Manage the Inventory Flash review, Cycle Count reports, quarterly Excess and Obsolete inventories

  • Review and sign off on Engineering Change Notices

  • Ad hoc – Volume reporting, research purchase price and material usage variances, working directly with buyers and the Accounts Payable team in resolving purchase order issues. Review bill of materials and address costing questions

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in Manufacturing Standard Costing

  • Excellent communication and Microsoft skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working in a matrix organization

  • Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence, Power BI experience

The salary range for this role is $79,000 - $120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
